Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's family has origins deep within the American South. Olivia was only two when her parents split up. She was raised by both her mother and stepfather who was a United States Air Force member. Although the family was spread across the country, her primary place of residence was Tokyo, Japan. At the time, she took part in numerous performances of the local theater, as well as becoming a Japanese fashion model. Olivia was able to move from Japan to Los Angeles when her family had returned home to America. United States to follow her ambition to become an actor. Her acting journey began with a small part. Her career then took off when she was cast as Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed TV show Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she appeared as Rob Schneider's Receptionist. The G4 podcasts include "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". She enjoys surfing, which she continues practicing since the television series Beyond the Break (2006). Black belts are hers in taekwondo. Her mother got married when she was only two years old, and was an Air Force Officer. They have relocated several times, but she lived the majority of her life in Tokyo Japan since that was the place where her father worked. It was the University of Oklahoma is where she completed her studies in journalism, with a minor in Japanese as well as drama and dramatic arts.
